November 22nd at 9:00am: Storyopolis Opens the Holiday Book
Bushel Season with David Shannon
Storyopolis invites you to join us in launching the Holiday
Book Bushel Season with a special guest appearance from multi
award- winning artist and best-selling author, David Shannon.
A favorite among teachers and librarians with such titles as
How Georgie Radbourn Saved Baseball, The Amazing Christmas
Extravaganza, and A Bad Case of Stripes, David
Shannon’s popularity skyrocketed in 1998 with the publication
of his picture book No, David! which was named a Caldecott
Honor Book, an ALA Notable Children's Book, and a New York Times
Best Illustrated Book of the Year and has received numerous
other accolades and state awards. The event will feature David

Cat Who Wouldn’t Come Inside.”
Cynthia Von Buhler will be live at Storyopolis with a reading
and signing of her wonderful book, “The Cat Who Wouldn’t
Come Inside.” This event will feature not only a reading,
but also a step-by-step clay cat sculpture workshop. The workshop
will provide all the sculpting materials and written instructions
for those that wish to take the sculpture home for baking and
