We feature our own Storytime readers, sometimes with surprise guests, who entertain children from newborn to age four with tales of fun and delight.

Friday, December 1st at 11:00am: “Sing Baby Sing”
To Sing or not to Sing – That’s the Challenge. Join us with your baby, toddler or preschooler as Joy Sikorski of SingBabySing™ leads us in unique interactive voice games that are used at child development centers throughout California. Explore the links between singing, speech, the voice, literacy and language as you discover how it’s possible to train your child’s voice from birth onward. Don’t miss this fun event that also features a CD signing by this award-winning composer.

Sunday, December 10th, 11:30am: “Spongebob Squarepants: The Best Day Ever” Performance
It’s finally here! Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants presents a live performance of SpongeBob’s latest CD, “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Best Day Ever.” Created and written by Tom Kenny and producer Andy Paley, this CD features the works of SpongeBobs animated Bikini Bottom band, “SpongeBob & the Hi-Seas.” With 26 fun tracks, some of which include Brian Wilson, Tommy Ramone, and Flaco Jimenez, this is a live event that is sure to have the store rocking like never before.

Friday, December 15th, 11:00am: “Pablo’s Christmas” By Hugo C. Martin

Saturday, December 16th, 11:00am: “The Meshuganutcracker” Preview
“The Meshuganutcracker” is an acclaimed original musical celebrating all things Chanukah. Blending Tchaikovsky’s beautiful score with witty lyrics and traditional Jewish songs, “The MeshugaNutcracker!” is a non-stop cavalcade of Chanukah fun.
Eight top-notch performers sing high Es while munching latkes! They dance in life- sized dreidel costumes while singing eight-part harmony! Saturday, December 16th, 3:00pm: “Tiny Oaks” Musical Extravaganza With The Legendary Richard M. Sherman
Join us for this exciting musical performance that the whole family will love. Academy Award and Grammy winning composer/lyricist Richard M. Sherman will be performing a medley of songs from some of his greatest hits including: Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty, Bang Bang, The Jungle Book, The Winnie-the-Pooh Series, The Aristocats, Charlotte’s Web, and everyone’s favorite song, IT’S A SMALL WORLD.

Bring your kids and celebrate Hanukkah with a reading of Asner’s latest book, “Kvetchy Boy.” Kvetchy Boy loves to complain. But when his friends can’t stand another minute of his kvetching, he learns to save his complaining for big problems. Come meet Kvetchy Boy and friends, Shmutzy Girl, Noshy Boy, Shluffy Girl and more, each living up to their Yiddish namesakes.
